I won! I would have never thought this would happen in my wildest dreams! I get to choose any guitar in the world for free! I chose the Guild GAD-F40E Grand Orchestra Acoustic-electric guitar. I bet many people would kill for a guitar like this one. Its only 1,800 dollars too!
I was debating between two other guitars but in the end I went with this one. I chose this one because, I would be playing different types of music so I can't switch back and forth with two different guitars so I picked one that has a wide range of play styles. With this guitar, since it is acoustic-electric, you can play more than just one type. For example, you can play country, blues, and rock without switching your guitar! This made my decision easy, this one is the one!
This guitar is made of 100% solid maple wood base on the 1955 F-40 Valencia body shape. This guitar has a very natural sound because of the way that they constructed it. This guitar also has Guild L350 Phosphor Bronze strings for a wide variety of play styles. I like these strings better than nylon because it has a shallower sound even though it hurts your fingers more, I'm all for the sound.
My guitar come with, a Delux Hard Shell case, a strap and more! I would choose this case because, first of all, it comes with the guitar so as long as I get a case that will protect my guitar and as long as it fits, I'm fine with it, and second of all, the case isn't even the most importaint part of the prize.
So in the end I picked the Guild GAD-F40E Grand Orchestra Acoustic-electric guitar. I picked it because, the guitar is acoustic-electric so I can play different kinds of music with only one guitar. Also I picked it because, it has a great price and a natural sound. What else do you need! I can't wait until the guitar finally comes in! I need to get my hands on that thing!

Your Notes
Brainstorm a list of possible guitars that you will choose from:
Acoustic guitars are made of mostly different types of wood but for electric guitars they have a polyester finish.
What kinds of strings are used?
Guild L350 Phosphor Bronze
How is the sound different among different guitars? Compare at least 3.
Since this guitar is acoustic it has a more natural sound than electric guitars. This guitar also has a more hollow sound because of the deeper structure. This guitar is acoustic-electric so I have a choice on what sound i want.
Once you make your final choice:
Who are some famous guitarists who use this model/type/brand? Did this influence your choice?
I did not find anybody who used this guitar.
In what distint style of music or character would this guitar be played?
This guitar can play anything from blues to rock because it is acoustic-electric.
What color or finish would you choose?
Black
What kinds of strings would you choose? Explain.
I would choose nylon because I would be playing country not rock.
What kind of case would you choose? Explain.
Deluxe Hardshell Case because it comes with the guitar.
What, if any, modifications would you choose?
I would keep the guitar how it is and make adjustments when needed.
Bonus Opportunity:
Amps? Effects?
This guitar is an electric-acoustic guitar so I can play more than one style of music.
